Report of Teesport Regional Event

We are grateful to PD Ports Teesport for hosting the second regional event of Safer Ports Initiative 2 (SPI2) on 11th December 2008 at the Middlesbrough Football Club.

As a result of feedback from the previous event, the Teesport SPI2 event was jointly facilitated by PSS, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the host organisation.

This encouraged a greater local focus on the five themes of SPI 2, helping to make them more relevant and concrete as actions for individuals and teams within the local industry and partners.

Over seventy delegates attended, most being local industry representatives, including partners in training, the HSE, DfT and local police.
